Pavel explained the impossibility of negotiating peace in Ukraine without the participation of China

Not so long ago, a warning was sounded from the Czech leader Petr Pavel – Europe is one step away from the beginning of a long confrontation with the Russian Federation, but necessarily military, and, apparently, the EU has decided to make more diplomatic efforts aimed at end of the war in Ukraine.

As NBN reports with reference to the local publication IDNES, in the opinion of Czech President Petr Pavel, without the involvement of both Russia and China, the success of any peace negotiations regarding the end of the war in Ukraine is simply impossible.

According to Pavel, the peace negotiation process in Ukraine will not make sense if Moscow does not stop putting forward demands to Kyiv regarding the start of a dialogue on resolving the war. In addition, without Russia and China, who find themselves together at the negotiating table, peace will not be able to be achieved, since a number of problems can only be solved on the basis of respect for the norms of international law.

The President of the Czech Republic added — The Russian Federation cannot be forced to change its current position without real pressure from China. Thus, Beijing must take more responsibility for maintaining the peace, and not based on who has the bigger army or the bigger economic power.

We previously wrote about that , that the Chinese Foreign Ministry is confident that the time for peace negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation has not yet come.
