Orban's chief of staff said that Ukraine is allegedly blackmailing Budapest and Slovakia, which “advocate for peace and a ceasefire,” by banning the transit of Russian Lukoil oil to Hungary, NBN writes, citing Reuters.

According to Gulyash, if the situation is not resolved, his country will experience a fuel shortage. Therefore, Budapest must find a solution by September, and there are three possible scenarios.

A representative of the Hungarian prime minister noted that Kyiv can admit that it “cannot do this with two EU states,” or the European Commission helps Budapest and Bratislava. Otherwise, Orban will find a legal loophole so that someone who has not suffered from sanctions can transport oil.

Earlier, due to the ban on the transit of Russian “black gold” to Hungary, representatives of the Slovak authorities began to threaten Kyiv. Head of State Peter Pellegrini said that Bratislava “will respond” to the actions of the Ukrainian leadership if it does not correct the situation.
