Turkish President Recep Erdogan distinguished himself with a new statement about a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. The head of state claims that these military actions are beneficial only to “Western warlords” who are doing everything to “start a fire.”

Erdogan said that Western representatives are doing everything possible to ensure that the Russian-Ukrainian war does not end. According to him, only the “Western warlords” benefit from this bloodbath, who continue to “pour gasoline on the fire,” NBN reports, citing the Anadolu agency.
The Turkish leader notes that at the same time, his country is working to establish peace and stability and “has always done so from day one.” The president claims that Ankara allegedly prevented “this fire” from spreading to the Black Sea thanks to a balanced policy and fair treatment of the two neighboring states.
It should be noted that at a meeting with Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin in Astana on July 3, the head of Turkey announced the possibility of establishing a “just peace” that would satisfy Kyiv and Moscow.
Later, during the NATO summit in Washington, Erdogan held talks with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. The Budapest representative asked the Turkish leader to support his “peacekeeping mission.”
