During a government meeting, the Prime Minister said that the situation in the Ukrainian energy system had stabilized due to the completion of repairs at two nuclear power plant units, as well as a decrease in air temperature.

According to Shmyhal, the country continues to prepare for the cold season, in in particular, the development of alternative sources of generation, NBN reports.

The head of government also recalled that the president signed a law on the removal of import duties and VAT for energy equipment, which came into force on July 27. The new regulatory act allows Ukrainians to import batteries, inverters, charging stations and electric generators into the country under preferential conditions.

As reported, DTEK Executive Director Dmitry Sakharuk called on Ukrainians to prepare well for power outages in winter.
