The OPU and the White House commented on reports of the appearance of F-16 fighters in Ukraine

The OPU representative, on the air of the national telethon, neither officially confirmed nor denied the information about the arrival of the first F-16s to Ukraine, writes NBN.

According to the adviser to the head of Zelensky's Office, Kiev does not need to say for sure whether it has received Western aircraft or not, since this is a “factor of essential survival” for our country.

Podolyak drew attention to the fact that American media do not refer to any official source in their publications, calling such materials information speculation. He added that the president or the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will comment on the receipt of this or that weapon by Ukraine.

During a briefing, the speaker of the US National Security Council also did not confirm the receipt of F-16 fighters to Ukraine, refusing to discuss weapons issues. At the same time, the official said that the process is ongoing and should be completed by the end of the summer.

Earlier, the head of state Volodymyr Zelensky named the number of F-16 fighters Ukraine needs.
