As reported by “NBN”, citing a material from the Yle publication, according to Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, Hungary's actions during its presidency of the European Council require a very critical assessment.

Orpo believes that it is extremely important for the European Commission to consider Hungary's simplified provision of visas to Russian citizens and, at the same time, to take appropriate measures.

In particular, according to the Finnish Prime Minister, Hungary's activities while its delegation presides over the European Council should be assessed/analyzed from an exclusively critical point of view, since Budapest's constant opposition to the general line/policy of the EU countries is absolutely unacceptable.

Orpo emphasized In such a situation, Brussels should “take a tough stance” by initiating appropriate discussions with other member states of the European bloc.

Earlier, we wrote about how the EU reacted to Hungary's decision to simplify entry for Russians and Belarusians.
