The day before, a photograph began to circulate on the Internet, apparently with the body of a Ukrainian prisoner of war, whose head and limbs were cut off by the “good Russians”.

As NBN reports with reference to the official Telegram profile of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Dmitry Lubinets, this crime of the “liberators” not only contradicts the “Geneva Convention” regarding the treatment of prisoners of war, but also demonstrates one thing: Russians behave like inhuman beings.

According to Lubinets, in accordance with the norms of international humanitarian law, no prisoner of war should be subjected to physical injury, violent methods or murder. Taking into account the above-mentioned horrific footage of the execution of the Ukrainian, the ombudsman sent requests:

Lubinets emphasized that the proper treatment of prisoners of war held in the dungeons of an enemy country is controlled by local authorities, meaning that responsibility for the murders and injuries of Ukrainians lies not so much with Russian soldiers individually, but with the Russian Federation as a whole.

The Ombudsman added: by distributing such photographs and video clips via social networks, including committing criminal acts, the Russian Federation seeks to intimidate Ukrainians, “both civilians and military personnel.”
