Musienko, on the air of Radio NV, commented on the military actions in the Kursk region, which began on Tuesday, August 6, naming the goals of the “breakthrough” into the Russian border region, NBN reports.
The expert recalled, that the Ukrainian Defense Forces had previously successfully struck military targets of the occupiers in the Kursk region, in particular, strikes were carried out on Sudzha. The invaders are located in this city, who can be involved in sabotage in the Sumy region.
Putin's army also used this border region of the Russian Federation for regular shelling of the Sumy region. In addition, special forces are present in the Kursk region, who carried out raids deep into Ukrainian territory.
According to him, the goals of the “breakthrough” in the Russian border area are to remove any threats to the Sumy region, weaken the contingent of Putin's army and pull some of the occupation forces from other areas of the front. Advancing in the Kursk region will allow them to displace certain positions of the Russian Armed Forces and create problems for them.
Earlier, the head of the Central Intelligence Agency Andrei Kovalenko pointed out the lies in the statements of Russian war correspondents about the situation in the Kursk region.
