The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council commented on the situation in the Kursk region, where hostilities began on Tuesday, August 6, in his Telegram channel, reports “NBN”.
According to him, Russian war correspondents are lying about the “second army in the world” controlling the situation in the border region of the aggressor country. Kovalenko emphasized that Putin's troops do not control the border in the Kursk region.
Recall that this morning, residents of the Sudzhansky and Korenevsky districts reported active shooting and explosions – hostilities began on the border. Acting head of the Kursk region Alexey Smirnov complained about “attempts to break through the Armed Forces of Ukraine” into the region.
At night, the Kursk region was attacked by UAVs, in particular, drones hit Sudzha. The head of the region reported on the consequences of the attacks and showed footage of the destruction.
