In an interview with Slava Demin, Kamaliya admitted that in 2022 she thought about joining the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The singer is an excellent shot, so she could serve as a sniper, NBN reports.

According to the artist, she was dissuaded from this idea by the military, in particular Valeriy Zaluzhny, who was then the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army. The general said that she could do much more than if she went to war.

The star of the Ukrainian stage noted that her twin daughters, who were 8 years old at the time, finally influenced her decision. Kamaliya hardly saw Arabella and Mirabella, who were in London, and did not want to deprive them of their mother's love. The singer also understood that if something happened to her, the girls could be left alone, since their father was no longer young.

As a result, the artist did not go to the front and actively engaged in volunteer activities.

Recall that Andrey Danilko commented on Taisiya Povaliy's statements about the “liberation” of Ukraine by Russian invaders.
