During a meeting with participants in the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS countries, Lukashenko complained that states are trying to get away from the “development trend created during the USSR” and distance themselves from Russia in order to avoid falling under sanctions like it blow.
The Belarusian dictator called on the CIS countries for unity and cooperation, NBN reports with reference to the Belarusian agency Belta.
The self-proclaimed president of the Republic of Belarus stated that if the terrorist state in the war against Ukraine collapses, that allegedly all the CIS countries will be “drawn into this funnel.” Putin's ally called on the states “not to seek their own benefit,” that is, not to stay away from the aggressive country and not to be afraid of sanctions.
Lukashenko explained his position by the fact that “nobody knows what will happen tomorrow” and perhaps some of the CIS countries will have to turn to the terrorist state for help. The dictator added that “recent events show that no one needs us.”
Recall that the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, spoke about Lukashenko's role in the refusal of the head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, to continue his “march” on Moscow.
