A representative of Estonian intelligence suggests that the “breakthrough” in Kursk region was a surprise for the “second army in the world” and it was not ready for an attack in this region, reports “NBN” with reference to ERR.

According to him, Ukrainian troops were able to advance 15 kilometers into the territory of the aggressor country, it is possible that the second line of defense of the invading army in the Kursk region has been partially broken.

Kesselmann believes that in connection with these events, the Russian military leadership will have to redeploy occupation forces from other directions to the border region in order to ensure defense and counterattacks against Ukrainian units.

Recall that the Washington Institute for the Study of War predicted how the command of the Russian Armed Forces would react to the events in the Kursk region. American analysts voiced four scenarios.
