As NBN reports with reference to Reuters material, On Saturday, August 24, Moscow and Kyiv intend to exchange 115 prisoners, thanks to successful negotiations carried out with the mediation of Abu Dhabi.

According to an unspecified Emirati official, speaking on condition of anonymity, details are not yet being made public, but the exchange procedure will definitely take place on Independence Day. At the same time, neither Russian nor Ukrainian officials provided immediate comments regarding the proposed exchange process.

It should be noted that this will be the seventh exchange that is being carried out with the participation of the UAE: Abu Dhabi is Washington's closest partner in the security sphere, while maintaining “warm relations” with Moscow throughout the war.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed today's exchange in his Telegram channel:

Another 115 of our defenders returned home today. These are soldiers of the National Guard, the Armed Forces, the Navy and the State Border Service.

Earlier, our information portal wrote about Lubinets commenting on a Russian video with the severed head of a Ukrainian prisoner of war.
