As reported by NBN with reference to an exclusive interview with NV, Oleksandr Usyk intends to continue working in his usual sport and will not stop helping boxing, which has become a part of his life, however, it is already known about the longer-term career planning of our absolute world champion.

According to Usyk, he will first try to become the president of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine, work a little in this structure, and then take the post of Minister of Sports of Ukraine, thus simultaneously doing “business and sports”.

However, the champion rejected the possibility of moving into the political sphere of activity, in particular, Usyk does not strive to be the president of Ukraine, because:

For me, politics is when you sometimes need to say something that you will not do, and I could not come to an agreement with my conscience. Everything I do and everything I have is formed in dialogue and in agreement with my conscience and myself.

Usyk explained why he chose to head the Ministry of Youth and Sports:

No, it is not a political position, it is a managerial position. This is work for sports and for the country. If the country needs it, I will work for it the same way I do now.

Earlier, our information portal wrote that Usyk and Kharlan were awarded the Order of Freedom, timed to coincide with Ukraine's Independence Day.
