The largest outages were recorded in Kyiv, Kyiv, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions. Against the backdrop of the difficult situation in the energy system, emergency shutdowns have already been introduced in these regions, the press service of DTEK reports.
The situation is aggravated by the fact that different groups of consumers will be disconnected at different times of the day, which will create significant inconveniences for the population. The time frame in which the shutdowns are planned varies from early morning to late evening. During the day, different groups of subscribers will be deprived of electricity for several hours, which will cause a significant restriction in access to electricity.
The energy company calls on citizens to conserve resources in order to reduce the duration and frequency of outages. At the same time, even light-grey zones, which were previously less susceptible to outages, will now also be affected, which will create additional difficulties for millions of Ukrainians.
The reason for such drastic measures was the recent massive attack on the country's energy infrastructure. On August 26, Russia launched one of the largest airstrikes of the entire period of a full-scale war, launching 127 missiles and 109 attack drones.
