Yesterday, August 27, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a “message” to the Russian Federation: the country's military-industrial complex successfully tested the first ballistic missile of its own domestic manufacture.

As NBN reports with reference to an explanation from the director of the information and consulting company Defense Express, Sergei Zgurets, published in Espresso, Ukraine’s key task now is to quickly complete the path from successful tests of this ballistic missile to commissioning of the entire innovative complex.
According to Zgurets, only ballistics have now been successfully tested, however, it should be understood that the missile is only one component of the complex, which consists of launcher, loader, and command equipment.
It is assumed that the above-described missile is the development of the Sapsan operational-tactical complex, developed by the Yuzhnoye design bureau: the potential capabilities of such ballistics will allow for a strike at a range of up to 500 kilometers, and the weight of the warhead will be 460 up to 490 kilograms, which is clearly more powerful than the American ATACMS, and even comparable to the Russian Iskanders.
