As NBN reports with reference to the French newspaper Le Monde, the Russian private military company (PMC) “Bears”, associated with the Russian Ministry of Defense, is being recalled from Burkina Faso due to the ongoing offensive of the Defense Forces in the Kursk region

As noted in the publication, the official reason for the departure of these mercenaries from the African continent, just 3 months after their secondment, is to strengthen the defensive potential of Putin's army in the Kursk region.

The journalists managed to get in touch with the leader of the Bears , Viktor Ermolaev, who confirmed the information regarding the withdrawal of the militants, since the Kursk Breakthrough operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces forced “all Russian soldiers to forget about internal problems and unite against the common enemy.”

However, the Bears Telegram channel recently reported that this unit, if we believe the mercenaries, is merely returning to its base in the territory of the occupied Crimean Peninsula, “in connection with the latest events.”

Earlier, we wrote that the Ukrainian Armed Forces somewhat reduced the pace of the offensive in the Kursk region.
