The Pentagon commented on the loss of Ukraine's first F-16 fighter jet

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recently confirmed (without details) that during the repulse of a combined Russian strike on Ukraine, a multi-role F-16 fighter crashed.

As reported by “NBN” with a link on the official page of the US Department of Defense, which posted a statement by Deputy Pentagon Spokesperson Sabrina Singh, the US Defense Department has information regarding the loss of the first F-16 fighter by the Ukrainian Air Force.

According to Singh, she has read the message regarding the F-16 crash in Ukraine, but has no information about assistance from the US in investigating the circumstances of the incident. In addition, Kyiv did not send Washington any relevant requests.

The Pentagon spokesperson specifically emphasized that only the Ukrainian side will be able to comment on the issue of this disaster, and the US Department of Defense is not authorized to confirm information about the causes of the accident.
