According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during August Putin's army lost 1,000 people every day to the “two-hundredth” and “three-hundredth”.

As NBN reports with reference to the official X-account of the UK Ministry of Defence, the above-described trend was directly provoked by the intensification of the offensive of the “liberators” in the Pokrovsky direction and the breakthrough of the Defence Forces to the Kursk region.
In particular, the Kremlin has forced its troops to increase pressure on the Pokrovsky direction, but since the Russian generals continue to rely on mass, trying to compensate for the deficit of trained personnel and the lack of proper equipment, the Russian Federation will suffer such colossal losses.
In addition, according to information available to British intelligence analysts, the pressure of the Russian Federation along the entire front line in Ukraine will continue to increase throughout the current month. However, the limited capabilities of the “second army of the world” will limit its ability to exploit any tactical successes to carry out larger-scale operational actions.
The UK MoD summed up:
The Russian Armed Forces’ casualty rate is likely to continue to exceed 1,000 people per day on average through September 2024, as Russia continues operations on a broad front from Kursk in the north to Rabotino in the south.
