As reported by NBN with reference to information voiced by the head of the National Bank of Ukraine Andriy Pyshny for the LIGA.NET publication, the financial institution-regulator does not yet intend to print and put into circulation 5-thousand-ruble banknotes.

According to Pyshny, the NBU reasonably believes that in today's realities, all issued denominations of banknotes are able to fully correspond to the current economic situation in the country, that is, to ensure the stability of settlements in the national currency.

In addition, answering the question regarding the potential refusal from the circulation of “small change” in Ukraine, the head of the National Bank emphasized that such a decision is a separate issue, which is constantly assessed and analyzed, and, “considering the circulation of coins, there is no such decision yet.”

Earlier, our information portal wrote about the fact that the NBU updated the “trust rating” of Ukrainians to banks.
