The chief intelligence officer of Ukraine said at the 20th annual meeting of the Yalta European Strategy in Kyiv that the invasion of our country affected a large segment of the Russian population, NBN reports.

According to the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, ordinary people in the Russian Federation are happy about the military achievements of the invaders, despite being tired of the war, which has been going on for ten years. In addition, citizens of the aggressor country continue to join the army because of Moscow's financial offers.

The general explained that Russians are being offered high salaries in Putin's occupation forces. In addition, they are pleased with the prospect of receiving a one-time payment upon signing a contract with the Ministry of Defense, accrual of funds for serious injuries, as well as payments to relatives in connection with death.

Budanov noted that the Russian Federation has begun to have problems with recruiting volunteers for the armed forces, so the Kremlin had to raise one-time payments, the amount of which has already reached 2 million rubles. For Russians from many regions, this is huge money that they have never seen in their lives.

As reported, ISW commented on the military leader's forecast about Putin's desire to end the war by 2026.
