On Sunday, September 15, a shooting occurred near Trump's golf club, police detained a suspect. The Democratic presidential candidate responded to reports of a possible assassination attempt on her opponent, NBN reports, citing CNN.
The politician said that she was deeply alarmed by the incident in Florida. The US Vice President noted that while facts about a possible assassination attempt are being collected, she clearly states that political violence is unacceptable. Harris stressed that work must be done to ensure that this crime does not provoke further violence.
Biden's ally thanked the Secret Service and US law enforcement agencies for their work, adding that the former American leader is safe.
Recall that the Secret Service detained a suspect in a possible assassination attempt on the former head of the White House, Ryan Root. Journalists found out that the 58-year-old American supported Ukraine and called for the destruction of the Kremlin.
