As NBN reports with reference to CNN material, Israeli representatives warned the US about their intentions to carry out a special operation in Lebanon, but without providing details of the plan.
In particular, a conversation was held between the head of the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) Lloyd Austin and his Israeli counterpart Yoav Gallant.
CNN believes that Washington was not familiar with the details of this operation, that is, American functionaries remained in the dark about the scale of the explosions pagers and other communication devices (injured thousands of extremists) belonging to members of the terrorist group Hezbollah.
However, the US managed to inform Iran of its non-involvement in this attack, asking not to allow escalation in the region, which was the first time since the beginning of the war in the Gaza Strip (last October).
