Today, the parliament was able to dismiss Maryana Bezuglya from the post of deputy head of the committee on national security, defense and intelligence, effectively “moving” the people’s representative to a similar structure.

As NBN reports with reference to the material of Ukrinform, according to the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation Oleksandr Merezhko, (the Servant of the People faction), the transfer of Maryana Bezuglya to a structure under his control will allegedly be able to attract media attention to her activities.
According to Merezhko, such a transfer of Bezuglya to the foreign policy committee did not come as a “surprise”. In particular, the people's representative knew in advance that she could count on the support of the head of the said committee, since Bezuglya had accumulated many projects that needed to be successfully implemented.
“Servant of the People” emphasized that despite the fact that Bezuglya is a rather controversial figure in political circles, all politicians have the right to make a mistake, provided that after this the people's deputy remains “interesting to people.”
Merezhko summarized:
I believe that the very presence of Maryana Vladimirovna will give media coverage to our committee, which will attract the attention of the media to our activities.
Earlier we wrote that back in January the Rada tried to vote for a draft resolution on removing Bezuglya from the post of deputy chairman of the defense committee.
