The National Security and Defense Council announced that the NCDC will prohibit the installation and restrict the use of Telegram on official devices in the Defense Forces and security, government agencies and critical infrastructure enterprises, writes NBN.

It is reported that during the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, presented substantiated data on the access of the special services of the aggressor country to the personal data of messenger users, to their personal correspondence and even to deleted messages.

In turn, representatives of the SBU and the General Staff of Ukraine claim that the Russians are actively using Telegram against our country: they use the messenger in cyberattacks, to establish the geolocation of users, adjust missile attacks, etc.

After the ban on the application is introduced among the military, government officials and employees of critical infrastructure facilities, only those for whom it is part of their official duties will continue to use it.

Earlier, KIIS sociologists found out whether Ukrainians will support the authorities' decision to ban this messenger in the country.
