As reported by NBN with a link to the official page of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Ursula von der Leyen said that Brussels has developed a detailed scenario for providing support to the energy sector of our country during the difficult winter period.

According to von der Leyen, the plan to help Ukraine's critical infrastructure provides for the restoration of 2.5 Gigawatts of energy capacity, as well as the expansion of our country's connection to the EU energy network. The European Union also intends to export 2 GW of electricity to Ukraine, thereby ensuring stable energy supply in all regions.

Thus, thanks to the above-described actions of the EU, it will be possible to cover more than 25 percent of Ukraine's winter energy needs.

Von der Leyen emphasized:

We are currently sending mobile gas turbines and solar panels. We also discussed issues related to the protection of power plants.

Earlier we wrote that the Prosecutor General's Office reported the amount of losses that the Ukrainian energy system suffered from Russian attacks.
