As NBN reports with reference to sources of the Babel publication, about a week ago Umerov put the above-described military intelligence officers on so-called “disposition”.

According to media sources, the fired the functionaries were the “people” of the former head of the Ministry of Defense Andrej Taran, who is now the ambassador to Slovenia.

According to the information available to Babel, Budanov was not consulted in advance regarding the dismissal of his deputies, and, naturally, such an ambiguous decision was not agreed upon in advance.

In addition, sources familiar with the situation claim that this decision was made by Zelensky (in the Office of the President of Ukraine), allegedly to weaken Budanov.

However, it should be noted that the powers concerning the possibility of dismissing the deputy heads of the GUR belong to the head of the Ministry of Defense Rustem Umerov, who is directly subordinate only to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.

Earlier we wrote about how Servant of the People commented on the dismissal and new appointment of Bezuglya.
