A representative of the Office of Zelensky in an interview with Channel 24, answering the question of whether the opposition can represent the Russian Federation at the Global Peace Summit, said that these Russians will not influence anything at the conference, NBN reports.
According to the official, the Russian opposition has two wings, the first of which is Alexei Navalny's Anti-Corruption Foundation, which has relations with Western elites. Associates of Putin's main opponent, who died in a Russian penal colony in February, actively ignore the topic of the invasion of Ukraine.
The second wing of the Russian opposition is Leonid Nevzlin, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Garry Kasparov and others, who directly participate in various events to support our country, for example, in the activities of the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Freedom of Russia Legion. At the same time, they are not able to influence the processes in the aggressor country and the end of the war.
Podolyak explained that the presence of the Russian opposition at the Global Peace Summit will not be understood by neutral states, since it is important for them to have a representative from Moscow.
Recall that the head of the Italian Foreign Ministry supported the participation of the Russian Federation and China in the Global Peace Summit, voicing a condition for the Russian leadership.
