This autumn season, certain categories of Ukrainians will receive a slight increase in their pensions, but under certain conditions.

As reported by NBN with a link to the official website of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the increase in the amounts of payments will be made only if the pensioner meets the appropriate criteria.
This fall, certain senior citizens will receive increased pension benefits thanks to a supplement allocated in accordance with the UN World Food Programme.
In particular, the UN will “pay extra” to pensioners:
- who have a benefit below UAH 3,250;
- who live in regions where active fighting is taking place or where similar actions are potentially possible;
- who have not received any kind of international assistance or payments for internally displaced persons since March of last year.
The amount of this supplement is calculated on an individual basis and is determined by the difference between UAH 3,250 and the amount of the individual's pension benefit: for example, if financial assistance from the state is UAH 3,000, then the additional payment from the UN will be UAH 250.
