Babkina, in an interview with propagandist Anton Krasovsky, recalled what Rotaru wrote to her after the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The Z-patriot said that they used to congratulate each other on their birthdays, NBN reports.
However, after the start of the big war, the Ukrainian singer asked the Putinist not to remind her of herself.
“I beg you, don’t write me anything yet. I beg you,” Rotaru addressed the Russian.
The People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, commenting on the message from her colleague, said that “she can be understood.” Babkina noted that Rotaru has a family in Ukraine, and she also believes that her compatriots are allegedly intimidating her so that she doesn’t communicate with Putinists.
The Russian singer added that Rotaru is now allegedly living abroad, where she is saving herself and her family. In turn, Krasovsky said that the star of the Ukrainian stage is in Austria.
Earlier, Russian producer Sergey Lavrov, who previously organized Rotaru's concerts in the Russian Federation, said that there is a demand for the celebrity's performances during the New Year holidays. However, the artist rejects all offers to appear on stage in the aggressor country.
