The day before, the government approved a resolution concerning the simplification of the procedure for the appointment/payment of one-time financial assistance for the death/disability of Ukrainian military personnel.

As reported by “NBN” with a link to the official page of the Cabinet of Ministers, in the event of the death of a defender, the state will appoint and pay to family members of such servicemen 750 subsistence minimums (multiply by 3,028 hryvnia), established by the norms of legislation for able-bodied persons.
In particular, now the decision regarding the appointment/transfer of the above-described benefit is assigned to the Ministry of Veterans, and the funds themselves are planned to be immediately transferred to the recipient's bank account (bypassing social protection agencies), which significantly optimizes the process.
At the same time, the amounts of payments are not adjusted by the Cabinet of Ministers resolution, that is, they remain at the same level:
- for the death (death) of a serviceman, the state will pay his family 2.27 million hryvnia;
- for disability group 1 – 1.21 million hryvnia;
- for disability 2 groups — 908 400 UAH;
- for disability group 3— 757 000 UAH.
Also, you can send an application for the appointment/payment of this financial assistance to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs in electronic or paper format, as well as through “Diya”.
