A representative of Zelensky’s Office spoke about preventing strikes on Ukrainian nuclear power plants by Putin’s occupation forces, NBN reports with reference to RBC-Ukraine.

According to the adviser to the head of the OPU, Moscow understands that the only type of warfare against peaceful Ukrainians is the total destruction of the country's energy sector. To achieve this goal, the enemy needs to eliminate not the station itself, but its ability to transmit electricity to the general grid through substations located nearby.

The official is convinced that the Russians are developing plans to attack our nuclear power plants, since they are constantly in search of genocidal instruments. In order to prevent the implementation of the criminal intentions of the Russian Federation, several steps must be taken.

First, it is important to publicly talk about Russia's terror and legally record the elements of the crime that it intends to commit. Secondly, it is necessary to strengthen Ukraine's air defense by transferring a significant number of air defense systems and ammunition for them.

Thirdly, pressure must be exerted on the aggressive state through the IAEA and other organizations that influence the nuclear technology market.

Podolyak emphasized that the enemy will only be stopped by coercion – an increase in the scale of damage on the territory of the aggressor country as a result of the work of the Defense and Security Forces.

Recall that an energy expert told what awaits Ukrainians when the nuclear power plant is turned off due to attacks by Russian invaders.
