Occupiers dropped FAB-500 on Sumy, aerial bomb did not detonate

On Thursday morning, September 26, a FAB-500 was discovered in Sumy. A high-explosive aerial bomb fired by Russian troops failed to detonate when it fell on the city.

At 07:48, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that a high-explosive aerial bomb dropped by Russian occupation forces was discovered in the city this morning, the “NBN”.

The department specified that the FAB-500 of Putin's army fell in the regional center near the Ivan Kharitonenko automobile bridge, but, fortunately, did not detonate.

Explosive experts and all necessary services arrived at the scene to defuse the aerial bomb, pedestrian and vehicle traffic on the bridge in the direction of Heroiv Krut – Troitskaya streets was temporarily blocked.

At 08:03, the OVA stated that the threat of an explosion of a high-explosive aerial bomb, which did not detonate upon impact, was eliminated thanks to the prompt and coordinated work of the employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the National Police. Traffic on the bridge has been resumed.

Earlier, the administration reported that during the night, air defense forces shot down 13 kamikaze drones “Shahed” over Sumy region.

Recall that on the evening of September 24, the Russian Armed Forces struck Zaporizhia with KABs. The head of the OVA Ivan Fedorov reported on the consequences of the attack on the city.
