Russian The Telegram channel “Kremlevskaya Snuffbox”, citing sources in the intelligence of the aggressor country, stated that allegedly some of the fighters of the “Akhmat” battalion, whom the defenders captured in the Kursk region, went over to serve on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The public claims that at least 11 prisoners of war from “Akhmat” are undergoing training in combat brigades of the Ukrainian army, “NBN” reports.
The Telegram channel tried to contact the commander of “Akhmat” Apti Alaudinov, but he refused to comment on the situation. The commander's entourage stated that it was important for them to free their own from captivity, but traitors would face death.
It is reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces captured at least 48 fighters from the Akhmat battalion in the border region of the terrorist state.
Recall that the British publication The Guardian stated that Moscow knew about the plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces command to begin an operation in the Kursk region. Journalists explained why the defense of the “second army in the world” failed in the region, given that the Russians had information about Ukraine's intentions.
