British intelligence explained why conscripts are being forced to sign contracts in Russia

Currently, Putin's army's losses in Ukraine amount to about 610,000 killed and wounded, and tactics based on mass infantry assaults require the Kremlin to regularly replenish “manpower” on the front lines.

As reported by NBN, citing the official X-account of the UK Ministry of Defense, the start of the October conscription campaign in Russia indicates that conscripts will be forced to sign contracts upon completion of their service in order to redirect personnel to the war with Ukraine.

British military intelligence analysts recalled that since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian leadership has repeatedly stated that they do not intend to send conscripts to the front lines.

At the same time, Russian conscripts have already been involved in the military operation in Kursk, as a result of which their families have expressed concern—their sons are fighting despite the fact that they have served less than 4 months. In particular, in accordance with the laws of the aggressor country, conscripts are allowed to be transferred to combat zones if they have served for 4 months and have been able to undergo training in the appropriate military specialty.

The UK Ministry of Defense summarized:

The Russian Federation will most likely continue to force conscripts to sign contracts after completing their service in order to ensure a stable supply of personnel for the war amid high losses.

Earlier, we wrote that British intelligence reported about the situation in key areas of the Donetsk front that developed on September 24.
