Starting next month, a number of amendments to the Tax Code will come into force in Ukraine, increasing the amount of various fees and excise taxes in favor of the state.

As reported by NBN with reference to the official website of Ukrposhta, in accordance with the above-described tax adjustment, from October stamps and stamped envelopes will become more expensive by at least 20 percent.
In particular, for a stamp in the letter denomination U (glued to the envelope for domestic mailings of a simple letter without declared value weighing up to 0.05 kilograms), Ukrainians will pay 3 hryvnia more – no less than 18 hryvnia.
Letter stamps F, M (required for sending domestic registered letters without declared value weighing up to 0.05 kilograms, simple letters without declared value weighing from 0.05 kilograms to 0.25 kilograms) will become more expensive by 6 hryvnias – from 36 hryvnias.
For stamps with a face value of A, G (should be affixed for sending a postcard, the weight of which does not exceed 0.02 kilograms, not excluding sending abroad), Ukrposhta will ask for the equivalent of 1 dollar at the NBU exchange rate plus 20 percent of value-added tax (VAT).
In addition, sending a non-priority letter weighing up to 0.05 kilograms, with sending abroad, will also cost more – the cost of N, W stamps will be from 1.5 dollars at the exchange rate bank regulator plus 20 percent value added tax (VAT). The price of a P-denomination stamp will increase to $5 next month at the National Bank exchange rate plus 20 percent value-added tax (VAT).
In addition to all of the above, the following will become more expensive:
- C6, DL formats with U, V stamps — up to UAH 21.6;
- marked envelopes in C6, DL formats with F stamps — up to UAH 39.6;
- marked envelopes in C5 formats with stamps M— up to 40.8 hryvnia.
