Zelensky did not receive US permission to strike with Western weapons deep into Russia — media

Western intelligence services believe that the aggressor country may respond “asymmetrically” in response to the lifting of restrictions on Ukraine by the United States and its allies on the use of long-range missiles for strikes deep into Russia.

As reported by NBN, citing The Times, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky will return to Kiev from Washington without receiving approval to use Western long-range missiles to attack military facilities located in Russia's rear regions.

In particular, the publication notes that Zelensky asked US President Joseph Biden to lift restrictions on Storm Shadow and ATACMS missile strikes against Russia, but was forced to leave the White House “disappointed.”

Also, Washington's long-range missile policy is not expected to change anytime soon, likely because Kremlin tyrant Vladimir Putin recently warned that a large-scale air strike on Russia from Western-backed Ukraine could provoke a “nuclear response” from a terrorist state.

Earlier, we wrote about Podolyak's talk on how to prevent Russian strikes on Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
