The American publication The New York Times writes that US intelligence is afraid of tough and even lethal strikes by the Russian Federation against the United States and its allies if restrictions on the use of Western weapons by the Ukrainian Armed Forces for attacks deep into the aggressor country are lifted.

In addition, American intelligence is convinced that long-range strikes on Russian territory will not have a significant impact on the course of the war, NBN reports.

They argue their position by the fact that after the first such attack, the occupiers will move their ammunition depots, equipment and command posts beyond the reach of ATACMS, Storm Shadow and SCALP missiles.

At the same time, despite intelligence forecasts, according to unnamed US officials, President Joe Biden has not yet made a final decision on this issue.

Recall that the British publication The Times stated that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky did not receive Washington's permission for long-range strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces against the Russian Federation.
