President Volodymyr Zelensky recently left the White House “disappointed” because US leader Joseph Biden has not lifted restrictions on Ukraine's strikes with Western weapons.

As NBN reports, citing an explanation from Ukrainian presidential spokesman Sergei Nikiforov, voiced during a telethon on the TSN YouTube channel, the allied countries do not yet intend to provide Ukraine with final permission to carry out long-range strikes with the supplied weapons deep into the territory of the Russian Federation, however, Kyiv does not stop working on resolving this issue.

According to Nikiforov, first of all, the Russians themselves will find out about Ukraine receiving the above-described permission, before Kyiv makes official statements. However, despite a series of negotiations held by Zelensky with all parties on which the lifting of restrictions depends – Italy, France, Great Britain and the United States – the ban is still in effect.

Zelensky's spokesman added – Ukraine has sent a “very strong urgent request” to partner states, including arguments about what exactly in practice will give permission to carry out long-range strikes on Russian territory.

Nikiforov summarized:

Therefore, there is this huge demand, a huge request, and we hope that our partners will give in.

Earlier we wrote about how Putin reacted to Stoltenberg's statements about allowing Ukraine to strike deep into the Russian Federation.
