Kovalenko explained that Putin's occupation army can attack Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region from two directions – from the south or from the east, reports “NBN” with reference to the publication “RBK-Ukraine”.

The analyst noted that the capture of Selidovo will allow the Russian Armed Forces to begin advancing on Pokrovsk from the south, otherwise this offensive campaign will be very risky for the Russians.

At the same time, reserve major of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Alexey Getman notes that it is difficult to predict how the situation around Selidovo will unfold, since military actions on its territory can drag on for months.

The veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war believes that everything will depend on the ability of the Russian Armed Forces to carry out offensive actions and on how long the Defense Forces can repel the enemy. Hetman does not rule out that the “second army of the world” may come close to Selidovo or occupy some other populated areas.

As reported, the Defense Forces spoke about the situation at the aggregate plant in Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region after the liberation of the facility.
