As reported by “NBN”, citing a statement by the head of the Kupyansk city military administration (GVA) Andrey Besedin, voiced on the air of the “We are Ukraine” TV channel, said that the city was effectively destroyed by Russian airstrikes.
According to Besedin, the Russian occupation army permanently uses high-power guided/guided aerial bombs (KABs). The weight of such a gliding high-explosive munition can reach 1.5 tons (we are talking about the FAB-1500) – the explosion destroys everything within a radius of up to 1 kilometer, which is especially noticeable in the central quarters of Kupyansk.
The head of the GVA added that other aerial bombs, weighing from 250 to 500 kilograms, are launched by the enemy regularly, especially on the Left Bank, which has already been practically destroyed. At the same time, critical and civil infrastructure facilities in Kupyansk, including enterprises, were destroyed, as the “liberators” continue to adhere to the “scorched earth” tactics.
