As NBN reports with reference to the official Telegram profile of the Prosecutor General's Office, batches of artifacts (relics of cultural heritage) stolen by invaders in Ukraine have begun to be gradually “thrown out” onto the international “black market”.
According to Prosecutor General Andrei Kostin, in addition to attempts to systematically destroy Ukrainian heritage, the terrorist state is stealing cultural values. In particular, artifacts previously stored in domestic museums, or that are archaeological monuments, are now appearing on the above-mentioned “market”. The Prosecutor General's Office has managed to accumulate sufficient evidence to help open new criminal cases on this series of crimes.
In addition, based on the information received, the Prosecutor General's Office has formed a special unit whose tasks will include investigating cases of destruction of cultural heritage by shelling and the illegal sale of Ukrainian relics and artifacts abroad.
