The commander of the 1st company of the 2nd assault battalion of the 3rd separate assault brigade with the call sign “Mosya” confirmed the information of the “Kremennaya” TGr that in the Kharkov region the fighters of the Third assault not only recaptured positions from the enemy, but also rescued the defenders from captivity, “NBN” reports.
The tactical group reported that in the Liman direction, the soldiers were ambushed by a sabotage and reconnaissance group of up to 10 occupiers. The saboteurs caught the defenders by surprise, so they were unable to effectively repel the enemy. The Russians took them prisoner and led them in the direction of their positions under the cover of a forest belt.
The duty officer of the 3rd separate assault brigade discovered via a drone that the group of soldiers had not reached their destination and there was no communication with them, so the commander of one of the battalions sent soldiers to eliminate the sabotage and rescuing the prisoners.
The assault group on the M113 caught the invaders at the moment when they were approaching their positions. The defenders opened fire on the Russian saboteurs, who abandoned the prisoners and began to shoot back.
Taking advantage of the moment, the captured soldiers escaped and within 24 hours independently returned to the positions of the Defense Forces. The Third Assault Brigade specified that among those liberated was a career officer with the rank of captain, a sergeant, and soldiers.
The rapid response group of the 3rd Assault Brigade pushed back the occupiers, recaptured positions, and damaged and destroyed enemy fortifications.
Earlier, a Russian military analyst reported that in Volchansk in the Kharkov region, the command of the occupiers killed a company of Putin's fighters, ordering them to recapture the aggregate plant.
