American journalist Bob Woodward wrote a book called “War”, in which he stated that the 45th US President Donald Trump has repeatedly spoken on the phone with Kremlin dictator after leaving the White House, NBN reports.

The Republican had at least one conversation with the Russian leader this year. In early 2024, the former US leader ordered his aide to leave his Mar-a-Lago office to hold telephone talks with Putin.

Another unnamed aide to the former White House chief said that opponent Harris had contacted the dictator at least seven times after leaving the presidency in 2021, which Woodward mentions in his book.

The dictator's spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in a comment to the Russian propaganda agency RBC, denied the information that the American politician and the Russian leader had called each other seven times.

“No, that's not true,” the Kremlin spokesman briefly answered the propagandists' question.

Recall that the Republican criticized the Biden administration for helping Ukraine amid the devastating Hurricane Helene in the United States. Trump said that the White House allegedly abandoned the Americans affected by the disaster to their fate.
