The publication “Ukrainian Truth”, citing sources in the government, writes that the preparations for Shurma's dismissal became known back in the summer, but then few believed it, reports “NBN”.
According to the journalists' interlocutor in the OPU, Yermak's former deputy could have continued working, as 90% of his activities were negotiations.
However, after the media reported on the reimbursement of the “green tariff” to his brother's companies and the NAPC protocol on conflict of interest, foreign partners stopped perceiving the deputy head of the OPU and refused to work with him.
At the same time, the official's career history in Zelensky's Office was ended after the Ukrainian leader's conversations with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in the spring and summer. The journalists' interlocutor in the government said that Washington began to constantly pressure the OPU regarding the dismissal of Shurma and Oleg Tatarov.
Once, the Americans even threatened to impose visa sanctions against Yermak's deputies. Tatarov doesn't care, since he already keeps his distance from America, and Shurma was hurt by his partners' words, since his family lives abroad, and his and his brother's business is built as an international structure.
The publication notes that American sanctions would be fatal for the lifestyle of the former deputy head of Zelensky's Office, so the president let deputy Yermak go before he was destroyed.
Recall that Defense Minister Rustem Umerov fired four of his deputies last week.
