According to Avions Legendaires, in 2025 the French authorities intend to transfer Mirage fighters to the Ukrainian Defense Forces 2000-5F. According to various sources, Paris plans to give Kyiv from 12 to 20 units of equipment, NBN reports.
The article notes that neither side named the exact number of combat “birds” that France promised to Ukraine. Journalists report that the fighters are currently being adjusted to the standards of the Air Force to make them more “universal”.
According to the publication, the estimated period for the delivery of the aircraft is the first quarter of next year.
Recall that on October 8, the head of the French Defense Ministry, Sebastien Lecornu, announced the transfer of Mirage 2000 fighters to Kyiv. His Ukrainian counterpart, Rustem Umerov, specified that the aircraft would be equipped in such a way that the defenders would have an advantage over the occupiers.
