Agency Associated Press writes that the Russian Federation has significantly increased the production of “Shaheds”, which the occupiers use to strike Ukraine. Analysts said that from 2022 to 2023, Putin's army launched almost 4,000 drones into Ukraine, but in the first 7 months of this year, the occupiers launched almost twice as many.

This is explained by the fact that the plant in Alabuga is fulfilling the plan for the production of UAVs ahead of schedule, NBN reports.

Journalists note that the aggressor country achieves such results by attracting workers from other countries, in particular from Africa. However, many drones are of poor quality, according to experts, due to the unskilled workers of the enterprise.

The agency analyzed about 2,000 attacks by kamikaze drones, finding that about 95% of “Shaheds” do not hit their targets. Instead, drones fall into rivers and fields in Ukraine, fall on the territory of the Russian Federation and Belarus, and also enter the airspace of Latvia.  The high percentage of failures of the invaders' drone attacks on Ukraine may also indicate an improvement in the air defense of the Defense Forces.

Another factor in the ineffectiveness of UAVs is probably related to the fact that the occupiers use “decoys” – drones without explosives to force the Ukrainian Armed Forces to waste shells and allow other drones to reach their targets.

Recall that in September, Putin's army set a record for the number of “Shaheds” launched at Ukraine.
