The head of the city military administration said on the air of the national telethon that the Defense Forces of Ukraine control about 40-50% of the territory Toretsk, the rest of the settlement is occupied by the Russian Armed Forces, NBN reports.

According to Chinchik, the defenders are holding their positions in Toretsk, despite the Russians' attempts to completely occupy it as soon as possible. Over the past 24 hours, the enemy has failed to advance in the city, and Ukrainian soldiers have made every effort to ensure that they do not succeed.

The official noted that civilians continue to be evacuated from Toretsk, but this process is taking place with significant difficulties. The head of the GVA explained that about 1,150 people remain in the city, some of whom do not have documents. Yesterday, 7 people were evacuated from the community.

Chinchik added that the evacuation is carried out only during certain periods of time, when there are favorable weather conditions or calm, which allows them to enter the city as close as possible and pick up people.

Recall that the head of the Council of Reserves of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ivan Timochko explained the importance of capturing Toretsk for the Russians.
