Ukrainians over 50 years old are not capable of performing tasks at the front due to age, health and physical fitness. As Venislavsky stated, this is why combat units do not want to recruit such citizens.

According to him, based on this, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine understands that there is no point in recruiting men over 50 years old into the army, NBN reports with reference to the publication RBC-Ukraine.

The MP noted that at the same time, there are two exceptions for the mobilization of such citizens: if there is a shortage military registration specialty that the troops need. In addition, men over 50 years old can be recruited into rear units (to work as a cook, repairman, etc.).

The MP added that even taking into account these cases, today such Ukrainians are mobilized very rarely.

Recall that Venislavsky listed the reasons why it is now problematic to talk about the possibility of demobilization in the country.
