As reported by NBN with reference to the YouTube channel of People's Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko, the head of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi stated that there are not many children left in grades 10-11, especially boys, since the latter prefer to go abroad.

According to Lisovyi, the above-described trend is very alarming, however, his department plans to “encourage” teenagers to stay in Ukraine by resorting to various [unspecified] methods.

In particular, it seems that the only and key thing that the Ministry of Education is able to offer such forced “migrants” is to ensure the process of obtaining high-quality professional, pre-higher and higher education, “which will encourage them to stay in the country.”

In addition, according to Lisovy, the potential of Western education is “partially mythologized”, and the universities where Ukrainian children go to study are “not at all better than domestic regional higher education institutions.”

Earlier, we wrote about the fact that the day before, on October 10, the Rada adopted a law on a “historic” increase in taxes for businesses and the population.
